Airports You can go to Hambanthota International Airport or know as Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport in 1 h 46 min (94.8 km) via Colombo-Batticaloa Hwy/A4 and A2 and 2 h 1 min (98.8 km) via B35. You can go to Katunayaka International Airport or known as Bandaranaike International Airport in 6 h 12 min (272 km) via Colombo-Batticaloa Hwy. If you want to use Trains you can always come to Ella, Badulla, Bandarawela, Anuradhapura or Kandy and get a bus from there to here. Valampuri Kite Resort is a family owned newly built hotel and kitecenter, located on the banks of the kalpitiya lagoon, in the north west region of Sri Lanka.
